Hi guys,

So sometimes, when I'm in the middle of working on something and I need to leave I just put my computer to sleep.  I'm sure a lot of us do this.  Unfortunately sometimes I let it sleep for many hours.. a whole day maybe.

What's been happening recently though, after waking up my computer after a long sleep, my computer is basically unusable.  Internet pages won't load.  File explorer lags and doesn't respond.  Yesterday I wasn't even able to open task manager.

I usually have to reset and this fixes everything.

Any suggestions on how to remedy this?

There's definitely something's wrong with Windows sleep system. My computer for example, doesn't wake up at all from sleep when my 2400mhz RAMs are running with their speed. So, simply I don't use sleep feature at all.

yeah sometimes windows has a hard time getting out of sleep mode

if its a branded machine, you could check for latest bios updates and power management drivers

otherwise, researching Intel C States may highlight a few points of interest.

Good Luck
