hey audio friendos, I need a mic and a pair of headphones for $80. Im in the US, and honestly, if they sound half decent, I'll be happy. I mean, anything's better than my x12's that are broken.

Pioneer SE-A1000 with any mic that you can get with your leftover budget (Zalman ZM-MIC1, Blue Snowflake, generic desktop mic) would be your best bet I think.

I was looking at the AT m30/30x and a snowflake/ball, as I could stretch a little.

HD 518's are 79.00 on amazon and if you save up like 10 more dollars you can get the zalman mic1, and that is a really good setup( i have it myself )

Christian and Proud of it

Do you need the isolation a closed headphone like the M30 would provide? If not, honestly I would go with an open headphone, even though there aren't that many good ones in this price point (that I know of). Not to knock the M30s, I haven't listened to them before, they seem decent.

To consider as well:

-Sennheiser 439

-Sennheiser 518 (bit expensive but very good)

For a mic, if you're thinking about the Snowball, also consider the CAD U37, very good for the price.

So I think I found what I'll get. The M30's are on sale for $40, and the Samson CO1U is $60.

Sennheiser HD 429. I've listened to them and they're great if you like bassy sound. If not, I recommend the Creative Aurvana Live or Superlux HD 681. I'll let you determine what microphone to get; any will do, really.

You should really spend most of your money on the headphone and not the mic. The M30 arn't that great anyway. The Sennheiser 518 are a much better deal since they are usually $110-120. Pioneer SE-A1000 are also great at $55.
