Need help with windows shortcut parameters

This is not for me but for a friend, I tried finding the info online but failed miserably, so I'm asking here, hoping someone would know the answer.

We created a shortcut, on the desktop, for ncpa.cpl , to be able to quickly access the Network Connections on the Control Panel. What we want is to be able to access a specific network adapter properties in one click (by double clicking the shortcut). The only way I can think of doing this is by adding a parameter in the shortcut properties, in the target. I could not find online any info on which parameters I can add.

Just to be clear, I don't know if there is another way to do this, there may be another way and I would be glad if someone had any info they could share on this. I also have no idea if what I came up with could even work. So, just to be clear on what I came up with, the "Network Adapters Properties" window is the ncpa.cpl shortcut on my desktop, I was thinking that I could add a parameter in the "Target" line so that when I click the shortcut it opens directly the properties of a specific network adapter. I can create a shortcut of a network adapter instead of ncpa.cpl but that is not exactly what my friend asked me, doing a shortcut of a network adapter doesn't open its properties window directly, it opens its status window where you can click properties there, but as I said that is not exactly what my friend asked me. Also the "Target" line doesn't seam to be editable on that shortcut.

When I say parameter I mean something like -private-window for Firefox, something like that.

If anyone knows anything that could help, I would be very grateful.

Thank you

What does your frend really want to achieve?

It sounds to me he wants to do something, and this shortcut is the solution het tries to get working, but fails. If we know what or why he needs quick acces to these settings, giving advice how to achieve his goal.

Yay, my first post 😀

Sorry, I thought I was pretty clear on what he wants to achieve, but English is not my primary language.

What he wants is to be able to access a specific network adapter properties in one click, by double clicking a shortcut.

What parameter(s) could I add to get this to work?

There might be a better way to do this than what I came up with.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
