Oh wait,are you referring to AMD GPUs?Well,they are way more expensive then they used to be,but if you buy them from Europe it would be around the same price because you know...fucking VAT and direct conversion to EUR.

So I've been told that prices are exceptionally high for Americans/Canadians that want to by a graphics card. Is there any way around this, such as, say, having it sent through a trusted service to a offshore location, then shipped to you?

You don't pay VAT if you purchase outside of the EU.

You can order them online but honestly I don't think the price difference is really that huge anymore.

Because you're a citizen of the EU. Just like if you import something from the EU to the US you pay the US tax rate.
