For the europeans: That's 1084,70 €.

Graphics card:

For high settings 1080p gaming, a GTX 1660 super graphics card should be the sweet spot.

It costs 440 to 530 €, so about half the budget.

For good 1440p gaming, a RTX 3060 Ti would be better, but thats more like 75 % of your budget at the moment and you still need to get the other components.

CPU: A Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 would be good for gaming and schooling.

RAM: For office work, 8 GB should be fine, but for modern games, you should get 16 GB. If you dont go for a Mini ITX mainboard, you should have 4 ram slots, so you can get 2x 8GB to leave some space for an upgrade to 32 GB. You should at least get 2 RAM sticks to use both RAM channels for more speed.

PSU: A 450 W power supply would be enough. You could go higher to make upgrading your graphics card easier.

Mainboard: Pick the CPU first, so we can recommend some.

Also you will need a pc case and an SSD.

My build:

CPU

Intel Core i7 9700 8x 3.00GHz So.1151

CPU cooler

be quiet! Shadow Rock Slim

Motherboard

MSI B360-A PRO Intel B360 So.1151 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX

RAM

GPU

HDD

Power Supply

Did a quick scout on a few singaporean websites, I think this would be a solid build. You can get a cheaper SSD, check out the tier list for that. And maybe also cheaper Ram, just with similar specs.

Good luck!

The SSD doesn't have a dedicated cache, maybe check out the list on the forum SSD TIER LIST - Storage Devices - Linus Tech Tips

Other then that, I think it's a good package. The GPU is a bit expensive, I think I saw a 1660 for less, I would rather opt for that. Or at 670$ a 2060 super. Maybe in the used market, as GPU performance doesn't really degrade.

Great build!

So if I change it to Samsung 980 is it balanced?

I'd rather get a drive from, the B-tier. So a 970 Evo Pro or a another manufacturer. The samsung 980 is a c-tier drive, only the 980 pro is a a-tier drive. B-tier is enough tho

Is this better?

Yeah but I think you can get the SN750 cheaper. Watch out to get the normal one, there's one now with SN750 SE with Battlefield 2042 and Gen4 capabilites, but no increased write-/readspeeds.

Anything from that list can be good, and most of them are cheaper then 120$
