Okay I currently have a three years old PC Self built main rig, MB: Gigabyte Z370H, Intel i5 9400F, AMD RX 580 GPU, 16gb 2666 DDR4 Ram, 512Gb Evo M.2 Samsung SSD, Asus Wifi/BT card in Mid ATX Case.

I just bought an M1 11" iPad Pro for procreate and the bonus is that Affinity also works on this as an artist and a designer. So I am conflicted about upgrading the PC... if I want to upgrade to current it's a new MB, CPU and whatever GPU I can get (More for the gaming titles) so here's the thing.. bearing in mind I used to use Mac for years c.1995 - 2014 or so. I first had a 17" desktop replacement now replaced by the iPad and eventually built the PC rig. The games are important as is the design and artwork. My consideration is do I upgrade my rig that will do everything I need however whatever I build will be inferior to an M1X product.. so maybe I get a better power/value proposition with a new M1X Mac Mini so integrate better with the ipad and keep my current rig for the games? and use my monitor with both? or I guess I could just get a gaming monitor and keep it all separate.. has anyone else had or having a conflict? Looking for some practical thoughts.. Cheers

I do also own an iPad Pro M1 11", and a MacBook Air (Base - Configuration), and if you want to do creative stuff, I would go with the Mac solution. Im very happy, and believe me, you'll love the eco - system from apple. I think that the new M1 devices, are amazing, but I also would wait, because I think, that apple is going to reveal M2 / M1x in the near future.

You said, that you have a PC already, that means, that you already have a monitor too, so I think you could go with a MacMini M1 16 Gigs, and you do not have to spend your whole budget!

Cheers - the reason I am feeling Mac mini is that if I want to upgrade me over 3yrs old PC I need new CPU, and new motherboard, as well as the GPU and  I could spend at least $2k NZD and still be no where close to the performance of an M1 Mac Mini let alone the new updated ones due soon! I've got a Dell Ultra Sharp 27" 2k.. games perfectly fine I can have both plugged in and switch.

I keep thinking why would/should I have two computers but the performance of the M1 or upcoming Mchip compared to WinTel or even AMD right now.. it would just about be a no brainer.. thanks for taking the time to respond.
