Hi, my AX1200i died and Corsair is giving me a replacement but they done make ax1200i's anymore.

They're offering me a HX1200 or AX850. Which one should I pick or should I get another model from corsair?

AX appears to be in the top tier, so a good option.

No. AX Titanium has issues with the latest high-end videocards.

The Seasonic story?

Wasn't the protections kicking in early issue resolved on the follow up production?

You're thinking of Focus probably, issues with Prime weren't addressed yet and it's not clear whether recent Focus revisions aren't affected either.

nop, they said that the HX1200i is discontinued

Uhh, that's untrue. HXi is still a thing because there is no current replacement.

Who are you doing this RMA with?  Is it direct with Corsair?  If so, can you DM me your ticket number?

yep, it is but I forgot to mention that I'm brazilian so this is Corsair Brazil

Ah... ok. That's the problem.

Corsair Brazil isn't actually Corsair.  It's a distributor in Brazil.  And since "Custo Brasil" makes things very expensive there, they're only going to offer you what they immediately have on hand, which is stuff they can sell quickly because they have to buy a container load at a time.

I would just take the HX1200. Either option you're going to lose the software monitoring of the PSU that Corsair has with their "i" series PSUs, but if you didn't use it with your AX1200i then you're not really missing anything.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Yea, the famous "Custo Brasil". Even the psu and the case that I got it I need to wait 3 weeks to arrive in their warehouse

It makes sense

I had the AXi for almost 9 years and never used it.
