Okay everyone,i'm going to build my first budget PC for Music Production. First of all, let me tell you that where i live all the good stuffs are very expensive and very difficult to get hands on. So i'm planning to buy these:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77-DS3H

CPU: Intel i5 3570K

RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHZ DDR3 (8 GB x 2)

Hard Disk: 2 TB Western Digital

SSD: 64 GB Corsair Neutron

CPU Cooler: Corsair A50 CPU Cooler

GPU: ASUS EN9800GT (Existing)

Case: Corsair 200R

Power Supply: Still looking for a budget PSU

Sound Card: M-Audio Audiophile (Existing) and UAD

So, What do you think of this build?

Thanks

If you are not going to overclock your CPU, you dont need "k" CPU. It will save you some money, if you get non-k one. I am not very familiar with music production, but i dont think you need very powerful processor. But maybe i am wrong...

Sorry if my English is not perfect, but it isn't my native language :)

That should be able to handle some serious music projects, however I'd rather go with an i7 when it comes to music production because of hyperthreading, but as you said, the higher end stuff is more expensive so an i5 will do just fine.

I use my computer as a music production station as well, I'm just curious to hear what VSTs and whatnot you're planning on running with this build.

I've heard VSTs such as East West Symphonic Orchestra should be pretty hard on system memory so you might look into upgrading for more RAM later on, however I haven't encountered any problems with my 16GB build as of yet but then again I don't own Symphonic Orchestra... Yet...

I use VST mostly from reFx,Sylenth1 and have Komplete 9 and some others.

See the only Big thing about the PSU is the avaliablility to support the GPU, if you go just a little bit higher than your GPU minimum 100 more or so you should be quite fine to support all you need, another notice is wether you want Bronze- Platinum 80 Plus. I personally have bronze and it does quite well for my needs at half load which im not all that concerned about. how much do you have let after all the stuff you have chosen?
