Budget (including currency): 360 US dollars

Country: México

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Light workload (5 hours per day), heavy gaming (3-6 hours per day)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

So this is what I got and I'm using right now:

Ryzen  5 5600x

Rog Strix B450-f Gaming

GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GAMING OC 8GB

Cooler Master Liquid ML280 Mirror

Be quiet Straight 11 750w PSU

storage: 1 ssd/1 hdd; 240gb/1tb; kingston/seagate

and the things I wanna update are the ram and case (right now my radiator is fix to the case with zip ties sorry its what I got)

If youre wondering my case its a Thermaltake Versa J21 and the ram 2x8gb AX4U300038G16A-SR10

I was thinking of buying 4x8gb  BL2K8G36C16U4RL (I heard these sticks works really well with ryzen 5 5600x but Im not sure, I want at least cl16 3600mhz sticks but Ill go higher if it fits in the budget(I dont mind streching the budget to 400 dollars if I need to but I prefer not to xD I'll prioritize the budget for the ram ))

And for the case my intention its to put the radiator(CML ML280mirror) on top with the 2 140mm fans, 1 120mm fan on the rear and 2 120mm on front, I dont mind the color or the front  IO (rog strix b450f has limitations for front IO)

I just want it to have tempered glass

bro u have a decent system.

if for RAM get 3200 as they will run fine if budget is tight then no need to upgrade as very few apps demand the 3600 speed. if you want to spend then spend on the Case with good airflow and DECENT space like Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB Full Tower Cabinet

You are leading him to wrong direction, Because RAM speed does matter a lot, Especially in gaming, He will get huge FPS uplift with faster RAMs.

Aldo, Don't think 32GB is necessary, 16 will be enough.

Phanteks P400A, Fractal meshify C good cases.

you can get a good case, 3600mhz ram and still have money left over... But rn the priority would be the case.

Yeah I know 32gb is not that necessary but recent benchmarks from gamer nexus shows that u get a huge increase using ram in dual rank (dual rank not channel) and the 4x8gb sticks would give me the dual rank in quad channel (I could try to get 2x16gb and might get dual rank in those sticks but recently manufacturers are making the 16gb sticks single rank even the ones that were dual rank before), and for the case the Fractal meshify C might be a really good option, gonna search if it fits my radiator on the top side, thank you men!

4 sticks isnt quad channel, most consumer CPUs only support dual channel

I don't really understand RAM ranks well 😄

But as I know if you put two single rank RAM it doesn't make it dual rank 🤔 Are you sure it does?
