Budget (including currency): 1050$

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CSGO, Valorant, Overwatch, GTA Online, GuildWars2, Apex Legends, Solidworks, grabcad for now.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm on an ASUS ROG G750JW(2014) atm

I have already ordered the psu, ram and ssd from Newegg(since I found some discounts). I have the 1070ti from my friend's old build for the time being and plan to replace the gpu once the prices settle. I use a 1080p 165hz monitor rn(VG278QR) and plan to get another 1440p monitor in the future with 144hz or more!

- I'm not sure if I should go for 5800x or 5600x and would you recommend getting a cpu cooler for 5600x other than the stock one?
- I'm also looking to get a motherboard with WiFi 6 and 2 M.2 slots, not sure if this is the smartest choice here if I wanna keep it around 200$(and have no bios issues, I don't understand how it works but would be great if it worked with my cpu out of box)
- Would appreciate any case suggestions as I took a random one right now!

I'll have to use VM for running linux in a few months as well & V-REP(Robotic simulation software), will this affect my cpu choice?

Thanks!

5800X will be better in solidworks if you can pay the extra.

you can just update the bios with flashback if it's outdated so no worries.

Thanks! any cpu coolers you'd recommend?

gelid phantom is pretty decent for $37 if you aren't gonna overclock.
