does optane support 2 hdd?

title says it all, i might buy a prebuilt thats striped down to the mobo, psu and optane and buy a cpu and ram for it. but does optane support 2 hdds? also how about laptop hdds?

It shouldn't matter what form factor the hard drive is (laptop 2.5" vs desktop 3.5"), but it only supports one drive at a time (possible exception is if the drives are in hardware RAID, but that's just my personal guess, with no basis in fact or research)
