Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a APU mainboard with good overclocking potential.

Not quite sure if 3 SOC phases vs 2 phases with better mosfets make any difference.

Core OC
IGPU OC
RAM OC

Would be great if it would be under 150Euros.

This is what I found and I need little advice.
AMD 5600G
Gskill 4000Mhz 15CL (I will try to get 3800mhz cl 14 or something like that)
Gigabyte B550I Aorus Pro AX (ITX)
I have a Metallicgear Neo Mini case so that's why a ITX MoBo.
I've also found a good uATX MSI MAG B550M Mortar, but I would need a new case.

Cheap b450 might be worthwhile if it has bios flashback.

5600g doesn't have pcie4 anyway

I guess B450 chipset won't affect the OC right? It's only responsible for stuff like pcie usb etc right?

TBH there isn't much in the way of OC anyway in these chips, but there shouldn't be much difference between equal quality B450 and B550 boards. B550 is going to give you more room for upgrades if you so choose because it supports PCIE4, but it's also possible to find a dirt cheap B450 from Newegg bundles ebay sales that you won't be able to tell the difference.

I got the B550I Aorus AX, it fits the build and better to have it just new... 270 for the CPU and 165 for the Mainboard.

I just went with an ASRock B450M PRO4 AM4,
the one I just ordered had a new enough BIOS 4.0 that let me boot into EFI and upgrade to 5.20 seems to be a pretty good board, has XMP for ram clocking.
Older versions of this board may ship with a bios version that requires a older CPU so you can update bios(that's a pain if you don't have one)
I see on userbenchmark that folks are OC CPU to 4.9.
VID outputs are HDMI/VGA and DVI-D
