Does anyone have any experience with SagerNotebooks? Here's a link to the website: https://www.sagernotebook.com/

I'm looking at buying the NP7338 13.3" Notebook. Comes with 2xMSATA ports and one 2.5" Drive bay. Link: https://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?page=product_info&model_name=NP7338

I'm looking at this laptop because i'm looking to upgrade from my Mid-2012 Macbook Pro Model A1278. It has a Intel Core i5-3210M CPU (Dual Core with hyper-threading). Has 16GB of DDR3 1600Mhz RAM, 256GB Samsung 840 Pro, and 500GB WD Blue HDD.

What i'm thinking of doing is taking the 256GB SSD and putting it in the Sager Notebook for extra storage. While i use 1 250GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD as the Boot I'll add another later on for RAID. I plan to also replace the RAM in my Macbook with 2x4GB 1600MHz that i have laying around, and take the 16GB from the Macbook and install it in the Sager Notebook.

So all in all I plan to buy the notebook with the following upgrades and changes:

Upgrade CPU to the second highest option the Intel Core i7-4810MQ

2x4GB 1600MHz RAM

Windows 8.1 Pro x64

1x250GB Samsung 840 EVO Msata SSD

Upgrade the NIC.

No on to the reasoning. I want to upgrade to a higher resolution notebook. with a Quad core CPU and dedicated GPU as i'm tired of using a Dual core Intel HD 4000 notebook. The reason for 13" notebook is because anything bigger. I don't really like... I prefer the smaller notebooks rather than 15.6"+. Which is weird as i have huge hands. However i digress. I'd be looking at about 1500+Tax+shipping So lets say $1750 CDN for this laptop. I think i will see a huge performance increase. Do you guys? Also want to know if there are any other Quad core 13" notebooks around? I couldn't find any. My overall budget is about $2000 CDN. Shipping and Tax included.

today is your lucky day my friend.

I just bought a sager literally 2 weeks ago and have it now (typing from it in fact) its the NP8298 2 models up from yours.

my specs;

Display 17.3" Full HD LED-Backlit Display with Matte Finished Surface (1920 x 1080)

Video & Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M GPU with 4GB GDDR5 Video Memory

CPU Processor 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ Processor ( 6MB L3 Cache, 2.40GHz)

Operating System Genuine MS Windows® 7 Home Premium 32/64-Bit Edition ( 64-Bit Preloaded ) [$15.00]

Memory 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz - 2 X 4GB mSATA

mSATA SSD Drive Slot 1 250GB Samsung 840 EVO Series mSATA3 SSD

Hard Disk Drive 1 1TB 7200rpm SATA2 Hard Drive

Optical Drive Bay — Optical Drive or Hard Disk Drive in Optical Drive Bay with Caddy case 8X DVD±R/RW/4X +DL Super-Multi Drive

So I am guessing your asking if you can use the ram from your mac to put in your soon to be sager and I want to say yes but honestly I don't a 100% know sager is very custom and I couldn't find a page that explains what ram is supported by their current gen laptops. Your best bet would probably be talking to sager directly and they could probably setup a some sort of deal for you sending the laptop without any ram at all then you just do a clean swap throw it back together and wala thus also saving you on buying the one stick of ram.
