Hello, this is my first time building a pc and I need some help. Everytime i plug in my cpu cable from my power supply into the motherboard, it makes a shock and everything stops working. The cord and the slots have the same pattern and everything else that is plugged in also gets power. It just stopped right as i plug in the cpu cord

Is this motherboard correctly secured on standoffs? I don't see a standoff OR a screw in that hole there.

Also please make sure your PC is completely unplugged from the wall before connecting anything power supply related.
