What should I do?

hevi

Hi everyone. So... I have a pretty bad pc rn and I want to maybe do some upgrading cause I'm sick of not playing over 60fps on games I want.

My current PC is :

i3 4160

MSI H81M-P33

8gb ram

400w no-name PSU

240gb ssd

First Question - which is better for my setup?  i5 4590 or i5 4670k ?

Second Question - Should I upgrade my i3 to one of the i5's OR should I just keep my i3 4160 and upgrade my PSU so that I can put in a GT 650 Ti Boost?

My budget isn't huge its like 50 euros for the time beeing. So I either buy a CPU or PSU.

Thank you in advance for the answers. My first post here btw 😄

Do some odd jobs, do some chores, etc.  Gather up a few hundred and look at a PSU and used GTX980's or RX570's, in that range.

PSU, easily. Whilst a 4670 is gonna be eye drool for higher end GPUs on used market like 1070 or eventually 1660Ti, it wont fix the fact that you dont even have a GPU at all. Depending on the exact part of Europe, you can find a CX550 at that price range.

a 570 could cost you like 250euro, plus psu, youd be looking at spending like 7x the current amount saved

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Nothing unreasonable for a week or 2 of oddjobs.

Not sure where you're going with this.  If he wants upgrades, he needs more money than he has, and working/chores is one way I know to get it.

If you have another suggestion for a GPU, sure.  Like a 1050Ti, or something works.  I don't know his area or care to look them all up for him since he can't buy them now anyway.  He can do that legwork.

We all know 50euro is not enough for an upgrade.

Sadly the CX550 is even more expensive 😄

These are the marketplaces I prefer to buy anything related...

OR

I can get a USED

Be Quiet L8 CM 80+ Bronze 630w

for 55€, or a Gigabyte P550B(which ive seen is not good and meant for iGPU systems like mine now)

Should I take the risk on a used PSU?

If anyone has the free time to give any advice on the PSU's please and thank you.
