Hello,

I would need some help please. I'm desperate

My spec:

AMD RYZEN 7 1800X (AM4, 3.60 GHz, 8 -Core) - Cooled with  Corsair H100i v2

AsRock X370 Taichi (AM4, AMD X370, ATX)

Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro (4x 8GB, DDR4-3200, DIMM 288)

3070 8gb (now) - 1060 6gb (old)

Samsung 960 EVO (250 Go, M.2 2280) for boot and  3tb WD Blue for memory

Corsair RM650x (650 W)

And Bluetooth (no cable) mouse and keyboard (if that can be a problem?)

I build my pc three years ago all new parts unless my gpu. Work fine for two years then my used buy gpu let me off. So the pc was sitting for one year no use, plugs off. Last weak I got my hand on a 3070.

So I decide to bring my pc alive do a cleaning of all my parts including cpu thermal past with isopropanol 99% dust off everything with air compressor I was careful and with caution do all that and put it back together. I also change the CMOS battery for a new one. I had some trouble running my pc at first, it would enter windows and then no display and then shut down. So I got it that I need to update my bios because of the new gpu I flash it with an USB and it was up to date. But my cpu keep heating at 90c after 2 min of running and then shut down by it self. So I rechecked everything cables, cpu, gpu, changed ram in every slot position, with 1 stick, two stick 4 stick.

And now I'm stuck with a pc that keep restarting when power on and a motherboard code 07. Again rechecked wit a friend (need a second opinion)

It keep restarting in loop. Cpu temp seems OK. (But the pc doesn't boot so he does nothing)

I have searched some option to fix this issue but it didn't find any solution.

Now I can't flash no bios no windows because pc keeps restarting with code 07.

Any opinion, suggestions, resolution?

Sorry for my english.

Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the forums!!!

According to page 39/86, the 07 POST code is a [Problem related to memory. Please re-install the CPU and memory then clear CMOS. If the problem still exists, please install only one memory module or try using other memory modules.]. Ensure that your RAM is in the appropriate RAM slots, A2 and B2.

Sounds like you didn't apply the thermal paste properly. Check the socket for any thermal paste and the bottom of the pins of the CPU.
