I just got gifted a Hpe 32Gb 2Rx4 Pc4-2666V-R Smart Kit

I was wondering if its a server only memory or it will work in a normal pc,was hoping it would so i could save 150-200€ on my next pc upgrade

Asus is saying that ryzen should support ecc memory without problems, but im not entirely sure.

Yup they're RDIMM meaning they're registered memory, ECC.

There are some desktop CPUs which accept ECC, you'd need to check compatibility.
Ryzen doesn't officially support ECC but I've seen reports of it working just fine.

Ryzen Pro APUs have this unofficial support, non pro APUs DO NOT , the rest of the regular CPUs have unoffical support
