a mystouries black line on monitor

hello. i have a problem that includes a wierd black straigh line on my monitor. it is not a problem with my monitor, because when i hover my mouse over the line, it disappears. it comes back frequently after a bit. doas anybody know what the problem could be.

Could be a few things here

 

Sounds like a hardware check over is needed though for sure!

 

Check cables, try different ones if you have them (maybe order temporary replacements on amazon and return when you've finished)

 

if you have a different type of connector (HDMI, DisplayPort, even VGA) test it out and see if you still get them.

 

Just a case of running through each one to see if any of it stops that from happening
