Alternative to Android?

So I'm coming to the end of my time with my pixel 3a and wanted to try some alternatives to Android on it before I really decide if I'm gonna upgrade or not. 

 

I'd really be looking for something that updates fairly quickly from stock Android security updates and is pretty stable. Don't really need bleeding edge functionality but am interested security updates.

 

Anyone have some suggestions?

Linux(Ubuntu touch, Manjaro touch etc.), you can run them on most android phones or you could get a Pine Phone.
