I just recently had a problem with my motherboard frying but here recently I bought a new motherboard and CPU since I originally wanted to upgrade but thats besides the point.

After that I bought a refurbished MSI B550 Gaming Plus off of Newegg along with a Ryzen 5 5600G

and after running everything I get a CPU debug light and after running on my old CPU for a bit the CPU runs cold. I have some ideas as to what it could be but want to contact a forum before assuming

My assumptions are that it either hit something upon install, something with the motherboard, or when I accidentally interrupted BIOS

I've tried resetting CMOS and attempting a BIOS update. Yes the power cable is connected properly and I have reseated the CPU many times

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600G (Old Ryzen 3 for testing purposes)

Motherboard: MSI B550 Gaming Plus

16 GB Crucial Memory

500 GB WD SSD

2 TB Seagate HD

1650 Super

Seasonic 500W PSU

Does the Ryzen 3 work? If so, the B550 board will need a BIOS flash to support the 5600g.

I have been convinced that it doesn’t but yet I don’t know for sure. I keep attempting to update BIOS but it acts like it is updated
