fTPM reliability issues?

Hi!

 

I would love to get some input on this. Does anyone else experience reliability issues with fTPM on AMD platforms?

Before I switched to a dedicated TPM chip, my fTPM would sometimes (it happened about twice a month or so) get corrupted for no apparent reason and had to be reset during boot. I usually noticed because Windows Hello stopped working.

And yes, I did check for malware but all scans from both Windows Defender and Malwarebytes came up with no results.

 

In case it might be relevant, this is on a Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming 3 mainboard and a Ryzen 7 3700X.

 

Has anyone had similar experiences? I would love to know more about this.
