Budget (including currency): about $1,500

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Doom Eternal, Dark Souls, honestly whatever game I'm not picky

Other details: I already have a pretty new set of Ripjaw 16GB ram that I bought for my old PC to try and save it from the brink (didn't work) so I can always just gut them from my old PC.

So this is my list for a potential build, I just bought a 1Tb ssd today so that's not on the list because its not apart of the new budget. More or less I just want to make sure I'm picking parts here that will last me a good bit of time. I'm fairly new to building a PC by myself, me and a friend built my first and by that I mean he built it and I essentially held the proverbial flashlight. So I'm a little scared and just want to make sure that this is a good build for the money and if I need to I will happily exchange parts for some new ones as long as they're not crazy prices. I've attached a photo of my potential parts from PC part picker.

Thank you all for the help I look forward to hearing advice from you guys!

You don't need a 1000w Power supply for that build. I'm not too up on Intel builds, but I still took a stab at it. Most of it is the same, just changed the case and PSU. Also, you don't need to spend $100 on Windows. Just download it from Microsoft and you can buy a key for at max, $20.

And you may need a BIOS update for the build I suggested for Rocket Lake, but its pretty late in the game that I'd be surprised the board you got isn't already updated. If you have a Microcenter near you, you could also grab an 11700K as its on sale, too.

You need to buy SSD, That is must for nowadays, Your system will be slow as hell without it.

As  you might already know, GPU's are really hard to buy for normal price. Here is list for you and it leaves enough money to buy GPU (Hopefuly) 😄
