Hey guys,
I've ordered the ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II Motherboard. When it comes to choosing Ram for my new system: is there anything to worry about what RAM will be compatible with it?
RAM i took into consideration were:
- Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO (White or Black, doesn't matter)

- GSkill Trident Z RGB
- GSkill Trident Z Neo

Will that work?

Thanks for your help in advance, I'm happy about every kind of help since this is gonna be my first PC build ^^

These product names tell you almost nothing about the internal components of the RAM.

More important than the motherboard is the CPU you will be using in this build, and what you will be using the build for. Assuming you are building a PC for gaming using a Zen 2 or Zen 3 CPU, you'll want 2x8GB of 3600Mhz CL16, or 2x8GB of 3200Mhz CL16 if you are on a budget.

So a kit like one of these two:

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory  ($84.97 @ Newegg)
Memory: Silicon Power 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory  ($64.97 @ Amazon)
Total: $149.94

They all should be fine. If its DDR4, its fine.

The motherboard is relatively new, so dont worry about anything.

As per ASUS, as long as it isnt over 4400MHz, you won't bottleneck.

RAM isn't very compatibility limited (in comparison to other parts)

Checking out the motherboard's manufacture site it is kinda confusing so I would just keep the ram size below 64GB. I would also try to get some sticks at least 3200MHz in speed. But as long as the ram is DDR4 you should be fine.

so like... do all the ram sticks out there have the same size of input on the motherboard?

What do you plan on using you computer for? Honestly I'm Using Memory At 2133MHz and it has been overall fine for gaming. For me ram size matters because it allows you to do more task like gaming and at the same time web browsing. I would get the 3200 one so you can push the remaining money so something more important like the GPU or CPU. just make sure you have at least 16GB in ram.

true, but I'd rather go for 8 cores, since gaming is not the only thing I wanna do on the system.

You should probably be going for a B550 motherboard with a 5600X. A better platform with a better gaming CPU.

Well Then Go For It. The 3700X is almost equivalent to the 5600X

Let's not focus on the CPU here, since my origin question was about Ram 😐

You never did. Desktop DDR4 RAM all goes in the same slots.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
