Warden Blocking Help

Hi, this is my first post here FYI. I'm wondering if there's a way I can get an application called 'Warden', developed and maintained by the same developers of the Aurora Store, to block permissions and trackers/loggers without having to root my Google Pixel 4? If there's no option but to root, I can follow a video guide published yesterday on YouTube to root my Google Pixel 4 and install Magisk but I have a worry. I don't want to miss out on security, patch, or feature/version updates, lose the use of apps such as my banking application nor do I want to reset my phone if I can help it. Not to mention I haven't rooted before but thankfully Google seems to make Pixel devices fairly open to rooting so it ought to be simple. All I want is better privacy and control over things like permissions (that you can't normally control) and trackers/loggers without messing up my phone, it's security and updates. Also if I do/don't have to root using Magisk can I make it so only Warden has root access/privileges and everything else is "stock" so I simply get control through Warden but everything else is as if it came from the factory? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I just want the control there and nothing else. Thanks.
