Why is my cursor laggy? Doesn't matter what I do. System resources are fine. This started yesterday.

It also affects games. On controller its fine, but some things you cant do on a controller like create a character in Black Desert. It's literally impossible to do. You'll see me go into multiple apps with the cursor skipping around.

This PC is only for games. I use FB, reddit and any sites that might be useful when having issues with PC/games. Browsing is 100% done on my laptop.

do you use software for your mouse and/or Keyboard.

there shold be an option for Polling rate, shouldn't be 1000, but also not 100.

500 is good.

and turn your mouse around and look if your laser is clean, like no hair, dust etc.

This is a Logitech K400+ so built in trackpad.

After I saw your guy's response I had the genius idea to put a mouse in. For some reason I had my mind made it that it had to be the PC until you brought up the mouse. Anyway when I plugged it in, it made the connect/disconnect sound a lot of times, and it works correctly. So I unplugged it, and the K400 seems to be normal again. Games seem fine, browsing, ect.

On second thought started doing it again while typing this. Sweet

you could try reinstaling drivers for the k400+ or installing them if you didn't. if it doesn't solve it you could try to check in another os like linux (just make a bootable ubuntu usb for example). if you don't want to use linux / don't have the time or it doesn't helped maybe try to use another usb port for the dongle (an usb3 preferably) and don't use Bloothouth if possible. (you can try those solutions in any order ^^)

I've seen this before try inserting the USB into a USB 2.0 port as some Logitech devices outright don't support 3.0 not sure why this is but had the same issue on my father's work computer (that i built with brand new parts)

It was a USB 2.0 problem.

Doesn't make sense. It was in a 2.0 USB for ages. Oh well.

Thanks all. I have a habit of looking at the biggest possible cause first.

it could be due to the port you were using was on a part of the CPU controlled one or SouthBridge controlled one who was surcharged for some reasons ^^

Really happy we could help you figure that out (i spammed a lot of possible solution / trobleshoot steps to be sure haha but clearly it was the easiest the problem (like most of the times). Have a great one

Torreip.
