is this the right way to set up a drive

is this correct i just partitioned this drive and I wanted to make sure this is the way to set it up i clicked initialize and i didnt see it didnt see it do anything, i wanna make sure this is ok bc i am moving my os to it

If you're installing an OS onto it, just delete all the partitions so it's all unallocated. That way the OS installer creates the necessary system partitions and uses rest for storage.
