Homemade, carefully crafted 1080p Monster!

Should be future proof for at least 2-3 years 🙂


Price of Components

 

GTX 1080                             ~ 400 euro

Mobo + CPU + RAM combo ~ 220 euro

Storage (SSD & HDD)          ~ 50 euro

PSU (750W Silver Rated)     ~ Free (was in my possession)

Peripherals (WiFi and MKB) ~ 50 euro

 

Total PC Price : 720 euros

Future Plans : 

 

Next (Around 2023) I will move onto 4K Gaming hopefully. Something like an i7 12th Gen + RTX 4070 should suffice. 32GB & 1 TB SSD would be nice extras 😉

Budget for next build should be around : 1,500 for PC + 500 for 4K TV = 2,000 euros.

2 Sounds apt, with how we are going to have 6/12 CPU configuration as the norm with DX12 and Vulkan titles being released every week.

It seems like a decent build, but I would not suggest to buy a 1080 for 400 Euro and just for 1080p gaming. It's still even fine for 1440p. Since you will be using a Full HD tv, I think you are aiming for 1080p 60fps. In that case it's better you look for something like a GTX 1070 Ti, 1660 Super/Ti or RTX 2060. Also, the CPU can be a bottleneck in some games that are CPU demanding. Actually your post is a bit unclear, do you have all components or is this your build plan? And you plan to only use it for 2 years? In that case get better components I'd say.
