So in my recent escapades with corsair products. I saw this bundle, will be around $170usd shipped. I like the design and stuff because I am of pure slavic descent so I happen to be a fan of Boris lol but how is it for actual gaming? Anyone play more serious games (siege, tarkov, etc -- not minecraft) with something like this? 2 year warranty sounds good. I paid more than half for just the corsair mouse I am returning so it seems like a good deal but if its not good quality stuff then its not a deal at all. 6 positive reviews but more because of the novelty of it and I would like some real gamers experiences.

The bundle price (155 €) is reasonable, reviews about those UVI products seem ok.

Don't own UVI products so can't comment on them personally. What I can comment about is my Logitech G403 Prodigy which I returned twice because the scroll wheel kept dying after half a year or so, and my Razer DeathAdder where scroll works (no skipping) but is annoyingly squeaky/noisy, the grip is peeling off.. Just saying that even "well known" brands have issues.

Well I went and did it. The reviews are good, and I hope its a good product, I realize I paid a little extra to get the novelty scheme on it but thats okay I like it. I know that all brands are going to have their issues, but my Corsair shouldnt have died twice in a month. There is a tournament coming up and if it would have died in the middle of that, I would be furious. And thats kind of how it all went down this last time the mouse crapped out. The whole day I had issues getting it to charge because it would connect/disconnect rapidly and spam my ears with the noise of it, so I ran it wired for a while and I was playing on Oregon, I climbed the ladder and when I got to the top my mouse input quit. I couldnt shoot, aim, look around, or lean. Was a total mess, and I died from it. So I decided alright its time to do those updates that trash can app iCue has been trying to shove down my throat. BUT part of the update is the device resetting itself in the middle, which is what bricks it. Their own software has a built in suicide feature and its the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Quite honestly I was working towards having them sponsor me but I cant support a product I cant personally stand behind. I would LOVE for it to be issues being squeaky or peeling versus just crapping out on you in the middle of a game lol and now using this Harpoon that the optic is dying after 2 weeks of owning it - its so tiny and feels like I am holding a Pringle. Even that Havit cheapy amazon mouse I got for my daughter to use is better than this Harpoon lol

UVI review to come soon!   Also I have no idea why this is like 9X line spacing and I dont know how to fix it.

  • 2 weeks later...

Update on this. Currently using the UVI stuff - and I really like it. the keyboard is a little clicky - but all the ones my friends have are a little clicky too. I notice this doesnt have the rubber mat under the keys to cut down the noise like my K55 does so I think thats all it is. The mouse is a little smaller than the dark core pro rgb se, and the left buttons on it are a little higher, but I have gotten used to it. My game play has even gotten better on this keyboard - much more responsive and the size is super great. It being without the 10 key side, and none of the macros, its given me so much more mouse space on my 36x12" desk space. DPI being able to go crack head 16000+ is cool and all - but its down at 6k where I like it and does fantastic.

The UVI gear app is much nicer than iCue but it feels budget, not going to lie. Some of the RGB patterns are just nothing, but being able to customize the colors and zones is really cool. Also needing a different application of UVI GEAR for each different product is a little lame. One thing that I did not see mentioned in the UVI website was the keyboard actually has an aluminum body on it, so its really nice, doesnt move around at all while im gaming. The K55 would slip a little here and there and id have to hook my pinky around it to hold it still like a damn praying mantis and im glad thats over.

All in all, Would I recommend?? Absolutely actually. Im no computer engineer or anything, but the quality is nice, the customization is a bonus and it came with little tools so I can change the keys and switches to whatever I want. Downside is it only comes in 2 language formats. The mouse is REALLY light which is awesome, but I would like it to be like... 5% larger, and move the two left side buttons to a more natural height and it would be perfect. Also, maybe I am just really cheap (which yes, I absolutely am) but $175 for a keyboard, mouse and mouse pad seems expensive? but then again the K100 is $190 by itself.
