I just finished a build and I'm having a problem with the reset button also my HD activity light isn't working. I press the reset button and my system shuts down but it doesn't fully reboot back up. My power button works fine...it's just the reset button that's giving me problems. Any help out there?

Thanks

Check that the 24-pin connector is properly in place. Push it all the way until it locks in place. I had problems like that too and it was because the cable was not properly in the socket.

This is what I got going on... I just get the MSI logo then I have hold the power button till it turns off, then press the power button again and it fully boots up. Does this sound similar to what you had?

No. Mine was acting strangely. When I shutdown the PC, it would, but the fans kept spinning like there's current still going through the mobo. Also, when I pushed the reset button, it would freeze and then reset after a few seconds.

It sounds like a motherboard issue though. Try removing the battery for 10-20 seconds to completely clear the CMOS. It does not sound like it will help in your case, but you can still try.
