Budget? maybe $100.00US if I'm lucky

Oof yeah not a good psu so big gpu limit there.

Best you can do is a r9 270(x) or gtx 760. Neither is a good card but since you did not specify what you want to do this is all I can give you for now.

My current system was built years ago from old parts from upgrading others systems, systems found in abandoned storage units and a few items I've bought when I could afford them.

Operating System
    Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU
    Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40GHz

    Haswell 22nm Technology
RAM
    16.0GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (11-11-11-28)
Motherboard
    MSI H97M-G43(MS-7924)
Graphics
    C27F591 (1920x1080@60Hz)
    4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 640
Storage
232GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB (SATA (SSD)
Audio
    Realtek High Definition Audio

as you see my memory is running single channel cause apparently the mobo is bad cause dimms 1 & 2 do not work and the ram should be in dimms 2 and 4. My problem is I'm on a fixed income and can't afford to build a new system and the 1150 motherboards I'm finding online are not in my price range. Any suggestions, tips or ideas?

Thank you 🙂

George

Single channel for a 4770 is still fine it mattered less back then it does matter a bit more now for the games and such of today but still fine.

I mainly need to know what psu you are using. Because well without that I cannot recommend anything. So can you have a look and tell us the psu model?

I assume you want to game on it? Well it's pretty simple to get that going all you need is a new gpu.

But first I need more info before I can recommend anything so if you could answer my questions that would help a lot.

Thanks for yo7ur suggestions guys but with the price of GPUs these days no way I can afford to upgrade even to the 2 8tg suggested 😞

PSU = 600W 80 Bronze not sure what brand

I need to know the exact psu. I cannot recommend anything else. So can you please give me the model number?

What is your budget? There are some oddities for gpu's but I kinda need to know a budget and what the goal of this system is too.
