How does this setup sound?

Budget (including currency): ~9,000-11,000 ILS (About $3,000 to $3,700)

Country: Israel

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: This will be mainly used for gaming. Some newer games, some older games.

Current Build: 

  • CPU: Intel i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
  • CPU Fan: Don't remember, but old.
  • MB: MAXIMUS VIII HERO (bought in 2016)
  • HDD: Western Digital 2TB WD Red Plus, 5400 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s
  • SSD: Kingston SV300S37A/120G SSDNow V300 120GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980
  • RAM: G.Skill DDR4 2x16GB
  • PSU: Honestly, don't really remember, but can use an upgrade.

 

Build looking to get (or have set to buy now) :

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 107000K 3.80Ghz 16Mb
  • CPU Fan: CoolMaster MasterAir MA620M
  • MB: MSI MPG Z590 Gaming Plus
  • RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x16GB 3200 Mhz
  • GPU: MSI RTX 3070 Ti SUPRIM X
  • SSD: Corsair MP400 PCIe NVMe M.2 2280 4TB
  • PSU: Corsair 750W 80+ Gold
  • Case: CoolMaster MasterBox MB530P
  • Case Fans: CoolMaster MasterFan SF360R

Total Cost of new build: ₪11,888 ($3,670 US) [Keep in mind that everything here has a huge markup]

 

Hey Guys!

 

First time posting, so apologies if I forgot to mention something, if if something isn't right here.

 

Basically I am looking to upgrade my ~5 YO PC to a shiny new one. After doing some digging, the above is what I was able to find in my country at a "reasonable" price (for here).

 

But before splashing the cash, I wanted to get your guys' opinion on it and to see if what I got here even fits. I'm not really that savvy with these thing, I kind of pick up details here and there. So I wanted to get a good opinion before the purchase. Also if you guys know any tips that might be able to get the price down.

 

As for the monitor, I only have the one, it's a Dell S2716DG.

 

Also, would you by chance know a good WiFi adapter? I have no idea how those things work. My router is on the other side of our apartment, and I don't really think running a 100m cable through the apartment would be the best thing to do 😅.

 

I would really appreciate y'alls insight on this!

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

It means that the processor you’re going for does not support a feature that your board has i.e your processor only supports pci-express 3.0 but your motherboard supports pci-express 4.0

Btw pciE gen 4 doubles the speed of pciE gen 3
