Can I run a 1080p high refresh rate monitor using hdmi 2.0?

PlayerLoler

Im looking to buy a high refresh rate ( around 144-165 hz)  1080p monitor but my pc only has an hdmi 2.0 port, I though about using a hdmi to dp adapter but I think it wouldn't work so can anyone tell me if this is possible or not?

A modern monitor with an HDMI port of that kind would be able to do high refresh rate. My girlfriend is using the Prime X570-P which only has HDMI 1.4b and it still offers 144Hz

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Are you sure it has no displayport? It's better and most monitors come with a cable for it. If you want some advice for a good monitor I recommend an AOC C24G2.
