Requirements for a server

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows whether a 3770+16GB of RAM is enough to run a Minecraft server for up to 8 people simultaneously, some mods may be used, but nothing too demanding.

it should be fine depending on the mods, I have a server with E5-2667 v2s (similar single threaded performance) and usually have no issues. I'd recommend using Paper if you aren't using mods as it boosts server performance significantly.

Some modpacks (especailly ones that add lots of stuff to the worldgen) do have issues though, usually with large modpacks worldgen slows down after 3-4 people are loading different areas.

If it's just gonna be running a survival world, and Linux do you think a 120GB Sata SSD would be enough?

yeah, that should be plenty. Minecraft worlds really don't take up much space (unless you have TONS of people loading massive areas)
