Wi-Fi slows down when laptop is awake

Recently I have started having issues where whenever my laptop is awake my Wi-Fi slows down significantly but as soon as I put it to sleep or turn it off it is back to normal.

Is Windows running updates in the background? Is any program running updates in the background?

Open task manager and check which program is hogging resources.

For exmaple, my chrome is the highest network usage:

There is basically no network usage. I forgot to mention that this only affects other devices.

I can see that there is 2% network usage, do you know which program is using that?

I have no idea. Total usage is staying under 5%.
