New pc to build

Xepom

Budget (including currency): 1300-1500€ to buy the things I don't already have

Country: France

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: valorant, cs-go, assassins creed valhala and games not released yet

Other details : I have a 27' 165hz 4K monitor (tuf gaming), and I already have a RTX 3080 FE, and SSD Samsung 980 Pro NVMe 1To. I'd like my New build to last a long time. My current build was made in 2013 and I still can play at valorant for ex (not very high fps). I'm Lucky to have a 3080 FE, so help me to make it shine :)

The extra case fans are to be mounted at the top and back of the case, as exhaust fans. The commander pro will work with the lighting node pro (that comes with the 3 fan kit) to control the fans and the RGB, all while not needing to use too many headers on the motherboard.

Thanks a lot. All of you even if there is only one perso in my budget 🙂

And if I go for a fractal case instead of the corsaire one which one would you choose?

And I can see some 3200 memory and some 3600, is 3600 usefull with this proc ?

And btw I can also buy on Amazon.de and es.

It is. Go for it. 😉

To clarify: There's not a huge difference between the two, but I'd suggest CL16 3600 Mhz RAM (like the Crucial Ballistix suggested above - non-RGB saves you a few bucks on that, btw). Might as well get the slightly faster option.

Ok thanks, I'm not a big fan of RBG I can go without 🙂

16go is enough then no need of 32 ?

@kronion, i have been reading something about 5800 not supporting 3600. Is it True ?

Since I use the same motherboard, I'd also like to point out that you might need to perform a BIOS update on that one. Depending on when the Motherboard was manufactured, it might not be compatible with 5000 series out of the box (that actually applies to many B550/X570 boards). The MSI B550 Tomahawk can be updated without a processor, so that's not a huge issue, but something you should be aware of.

If the build is mainly for gaming, 16 GB are sufficient, yes.

Yes thanks for the tip. I saw a comment saying "Mine could not (BIOS was not new enough). I did not have the issue as it was impossible to buy a R5 5600, so I chose a 3600XT. Still, the Motherboard can upgrade its bios without a CPU thanks to a dedicated USB port and press button - download the manual you'll see."

3200MHz CL16 RAM is going to be cheaper than 3600MHz RAM, by a good enough margin to warrant putting that money towards other parts of the build.

I would agree with the person above that 16GB of RAM is enough for gaming, at least right now. That will increase over time, and games are starting to recommend systems with 16GB of RAM already. Therefore, having 32GB of RAM now means you'll have to upgrade one less component in 3-5 years. It also helps if you want to stream & game, or for other productivity tasks. Definitely helps with the browser (not even talking about Chrome here, Firefox uses a bit more RAM than it used to as well).

I brought down the price a bit here. Extra fans are for the top of the case, to be mounted as exhaust fans.

Hope it helps!

Since on this version of the build there is no corsair commander pro with more fans, when you say "Extra fans are for the top of the case, to be mounted as exhaust fans." Which fans do you refer to ?

I have this :

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black 55 CFM CPU Cooler  : Not bought yet
Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz C16 XMP 2.0 : Maybe switch to 32 and 3600 if i have enough money
Storage: Samsung 980 PRO NVMe M.2
Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact TG Dark Tint ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair RMx 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Case Fan: Corsair AF140 (2018) 62 CFM 140 mm Fans 2-Pack  : Not bought yet

Referring to the Corsair AF140 fans. Mount them at the top of the case, as exhaust fans. The fans will have arrows on the edges, showing you which way airflow will go. Make sure airflow is going up and out of the case, for those fans.

You may want to get a 2 to 1 pwm case fan splitter, so your cable management can look a little better too.
