B550 or X570

Does it make sense to get a B550 mobo to pair with a Ryzen 7 5800x / RTX 3080 /  M.2 Gen 4 Boot/App Storage or should I go for a x570?   I don't plan on adding any more M.2 drives and only a single GPU.   Mostly used for gaming.

I'm looking at either the MSI B550 Tomahawk or the Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite.  The elite is about $50 more and I don't know that I'd notice a difference.   Am I missing something?  And is it bad to have your games/apps on the same drive as your boot files?

Yeah, save the 50$. But instead of Tomahawk, go for the B550-A Pro if you could, that should cut you up an extra 70 on your build.

Go with the b550 the tomahawk is a really good option and better than some of the x570 and I don't think you will notice the difference at all.

As far as I can tell No its fine to put the boot drive with games.
