Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: modded minecraft with shaders, Doom Eternal, Monster Hunter World, Apex Lengends, Valorant at 1080p

Monitor: 27gl360-T and planning to get another one but not sure to go for 27 or 24 inch

 

Peripherals: the ones I use now are still good but planning on getting a evga z20 in the future

 

Reason to upgrade: To escape using my crumby asus laptop (i5-8250u and gtx960m)

 

Other details: 

The RTX 3060 is gonna purchased later when the market calms down. Currently I have a gigabyte gtx 1060 6gb from ebay.

 

I'm not confident about my choice of cpu cooler, ssd and hdd so please lend me a hand 🥲

For the HDD I would get a Barracuda instead. Slightly cheaper and faster. Maybe get some 3600mhz RAM, but most of the time 3200mhz will OC to 3600 just fine. If you decide to change GPU for whatever reason, please avoid AMD because their drivers are terrible for Minecraft

would you recommend changing the ssd to barracuda as well?

I heard some people having issues with enabling xmp for 3600mhz ram so I didn't go for it

Your build looks good to me. The only thing I would consider is dropping the cooler down to a Hyper 212 black and upgrading the Ram to 3600mhz. You don’t need crazy cooling for a 3600x. The only reason to go bigger on the cooler is if you want the system to run really quiet.

maybe it's pcpartpicker being weird but I picked a 5600x that's why I changed out a hyper 212 for mugen 5

Sorry, I meant 5600x, It’s still a 65w processor. I built a pc for a friend and the hyper 212 black cooled a 3800x just fine.
