This is a pretty bad value CPU. 8 cores for 550 is really not worth it. I would suggest going 10900K/10850K (10 cores) or just go "down" to 10700/11700 (still 8 cores lol).

Absolutely horrible in therms of value

Overpriced garbage cpu, best just swap it for a ryzen 9 5900x instead

Overpriced asf and uneccesary cooler, a decent dual tower such as phantom or fuma 2 will do the job, or if you wanna do some overclocking go for a liquid freezer 360 or 420

Board is overkill but if you are ocing it would make sense

Horribly overpriced ram, crucial ballistix 3600mhz is cheaper and also cl16, though you could just buy some silicon power 3200mhz rams for around 130$ and oc them to 3600mhz or higher

Ssd is overpriced, swap for a kingston a2000 or silicon power a80 as they both have dram cache

Horribly overpriced case, 150$+ is when youll reach the diminishing returns zone for cases in terms of quality or other things, i suggest a p500a instead

The psu is abit overpriced but hey atleast its actually a decent unit and not a bomb

Case fans are overpriced, go for phanteks fsk fans, p12 rgb, or bionix p120 rgb fans

Not sure on the peripherals tho

Peripherals wise I think his keyboard choice is not great, there are much better keebs for that price, such as a leopold or something. OP, if you want a good keyboard recommendation I suggest looking at reddit keyboard recommendations or someone like glarses (Youtuber). In regards to the mouse I'm unsure if its the logitech g502 or the other one but if its the eggshell designed mouse recently the razer orochi v2 is supposed to be the better version of that. Could be thinking of another logitech mouse tho not sure. Also techyboi I agree with basically everything u said but i would also suggest the arctic fans especially the 5 pack for 30 bucks. It has a noise issue at 1000 rpm but if you do some fan tuning you won't have issues with that. Also for cooling if you want a smaller cooler that is on par with the nh-d15 I would suggest the nh-U12A which is a lower profile cooler with amazing performance metrics. Also OP, dunno if you need the gpu now or something but I would highly suggest you don't buy at the absolutely outrageous scalper price of 2400, if u really need a gpu rn i would suggest going for a ryzen apu like the ryzen 7 5700g, its not great performance but if its good enough for u it at least isn't at such an outrageous price and when u can get a gpu at msrp u just resell the cpu, buy the ryzen 9 5900x, then get the gpu then.

Accidentally put ryzen 9 3900x not 5900x

Also with regards to the board if you want to go ryzen i suggest a b550 board. if u want advice on a specific board's pros and cons i suggest this video. if you are dead set on oc u can go with an x570 or something but the diminishing returns are pretty high with that so the b550 is generally a great deal instead

So couple of things,

The prices listed are not what I paid just pc parts picker put in. A solid 80% is either something I got on sale or had already.

Motherboard came with the graphics card (Newegg shuffle) which is why I went to the I9 plan.

Ssd, cooler, and ram all picked up at great prices. Or I wouldn't have gone with those choices, ram alone was $50 off for some reason.

Fans came with the case and case was on sale as well.

Keyboard was an impulse purchase. Liked the way it looked and felt. And it was 50$ off.

Mouse I already had and it's ok for now.

And I know the cooler is overkill but I couldn't pass up the price I got it at.

GPU and MB came together in Newegg shuffle bundle.

Posted this as it's my first build mostly to check that there isn't a huge issue I haven't thought of yet.
