Looking to upgrade my PC to play at 1080p 144hz. I mostly play battlefield 4/1 (eventually 2042) as well as DOOM and Cyberpunk. Currently I have an R5 2600X (stock cooler), GTX 1070, 16gb ram.

I was looking at 2060s/2060 Super's for ~$350 second hand, also seen some 3700Xs for ~$200. Should I upgrade both, or keep the 2600X (and get a better cooler) and maybe look for a better card like a 2070?

Thanks in advance!

The best bang for your buck would probably be in upgrading your GPU, but I would look for a GPU that gives you more than a 2060 would give being that you already have a 1070.  So yes to upgrading the GPU, but no to it being a 2060/super... it would not be much of an improvement.

and still no on the 2070.  I personally want to see around 50% improvement before jumping up to another card.

Do you think the 2600X would be a bottleneck?
