ok so i need to get me some new headphones to use at my pc.

i don't play online games and other games is just a little, so i don't need a mic.  However i do watch alot of videos with verying quality.  i also listen to alot of music from many different generes.  so i'll need ones that can handle classic, pop, rock, hip hop, and well anything else i'm in the mood to listen to.

i'd like over the ears kind of headphones that can be comfortably wear earing with.  My budget is $120 and down.

so yeah...

SteelSeries Siberia V2's

They're under $120

Do have a mic, but it's hidden

Over-ear and VERY comfortable

VERY nice quality.

how good are they for music and such?

Very good. Most of the time, when I'm not listening for gunshots and footsteps, I'm listening to music. EDM, Rock, And HipHop. They got nice bass, treble and such. The steelseries engine also has  a EQ you can use to adjust levels to prefrence. I'm happy with them. They're not a pro headset that uses a soundcard, but they do damn well for a rather affordable headset

but as far as it goes to sound quality they are not bang for the buck.

Also, those Sennheiser HD 558's are decent too. Budy of mine uses them and swears by them.

Sennheiser HD 558. They're really the only open headphones in that low-hundreds price range that matter, in my opinion.

No, no they don't, they are easily walked over by cheaper options from legitimate audio companies.

AKG and Audio-Technica.

for pro audio, I'd go with them.

AKG's build on all but three or four headphones is terrible and Audio Technica's are meh or over priced.

For ANY audio I would go with the likes of Shure's SRH440

I own both the M50 and the M50x, both are $100 headphones going for $150+

And the M50x came out this year....trust me, I got my sample release day.

My point still stands regardless of which one it was, both suck equally.

I found them quite decent tbh

Audio Technica ATH-M50s are overrated and overpriced. Please stop recommending them just because they're all you've ever listened to.
