My wifi's been pretty bad lately, and I'm wondering if I can replace my bulit-in wifi card. Problem is, I don't know what type of card would be compatible with my pc. Any help would be appreciated!

specs:
Model: HP EliteBook 850 G1
WiFi Card: Intel dual band wireless-N 7260

What do you mean by this? Have you tried updating the drivers?

You can try replacing it, but if your wireless environment isn’t optimized or your wireless router is not up to the task, then a new card won’t solve the problem. Have you run a wireless survey to see what your 2.4GHz and 5GHz channel analysis looks like? What make/model of wireless router do you have?

Open up the Elitebook and locate the Intel 7260 WiFi adapter. Take a picture of it.

The 7260 is a half mini PCIe WiFi card.
