Yo community!

So I've been using this application called WTFast for my gaming needs, and I'm just wondering, how does it work? Basically, my 200+ ping on dota 2 will be reduced to about 100 below by enabling it and making sure that I'm using the right server.

From what I've noticed, it will route your connection to another server near the server of the game you are playing, thus making it faster. But by doing that, wouldn't your bandwidth or whatever will travel more far since it will be routed to another server from your server?

If someone have the time, I would love some lectures about this kind of things.

Thanks mates!

EDIT: I'm not endorsing WTFast or anything, just seriously want to learn and discover how it works.

For anyone coming to this topic here is a link to the software Hero is talking about. Its interesting, i am doing some research.

It is interesting! and makes me curios, and want to learn more... I remember one time when a friend introduced it to me, I said "Why would I use a VPN to make my ping lower? wouldn't it be worse since it will travel more?" I was wrong... It improved my ping drastically.

Yea i just finally found something explaining it was basically a vpn. so that makes me question why go with them  versus just getting a top rated vpn?
