unity code help

i have this car script. on line 24 where it has motor force.

 

if i change it nothing happens. it was at 300 before, but when i put it to 1000 the speed doesnt increase. it shouldd have increased 3 times. i even wrote 1000 on the unity inspector. why isnt it working?

the car just travels at a speed, but i feel its too slow.

Well if this is like real life (or simulating real life), motor force only affects acceleration (and only top speed in the sense that eventually the drag force equals the motor torque).  My guess is that you need to change something like the friction of the wheels/center of mass/drag of vehicle to actually change top speed.

 

Motor force would only affect acceleration...then again, I don't use unity so I don't know.
