A motherboard sold today is most likely compatible with Ryzen 5000 out of the box, but there will always be the possibility of an old BIOS that is not.

On the site of the motherboard Ryzen 5000 is listed as compatible. Even if that wasn't true, It still can flash new bios without a CPU.

Yes, it is compatible.  But which Ryzen series are compatible depend on the BIOS version.

 

If you can flash without a CPU, then you should be okay
