Hi. New windows 10 pro user. When I try to Remote Desktop into the PC using the Microsoft Remote Desktop app, when I try to enter the 6 digit pin to login to the PC, It says pin not recognised and gives error code 0x80090010. When I use the pin to directly login to the computer, it works. How do I fix this ??

 

Also, the FPS counter in Gamebar shows -- and user access control required(??) and I cannot control the RGB for the fans with armoury crate. They appear in the app but changing settings doesn't affect anything . Any fix for this too ??

 

Any help will be appreciated

In my experience error codes for windows are pretty easy to look up.  The answers as to what to do are often deliberately awful and commonly lead to “well the real answer is to buy this thing I’m selling” or some sort of blind code thing where they make you do something using “run” commands which are often deliberately obfusticated and can leave you with more problems when they don’t work.  which very very rarely should be actually followed. Reading several of them and comparing them can sometimes produce information though.  

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

I’m not familiar with the code number at all so I have to go off general symptoms.  With troubleshooting all symptoms can do is suggest possible shortcuts that may make things faster and less arduous. To make it worse I haven’t had to deal with any Remote Desktop in a long time and never even on windows so I have basically nothing that could help myself.  I’m sorry 😕  there might be someone around that does know.  Remote desktops just aren’t often used in non enterprise situations so there may not be a lot of people even equipped for the problem.  Someone might be though.
