Hyper 212 mounting clips?

BattlestarNX01

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but I was wondering if anyone could help.

I bought a Hyper 212 from amazon and was looking up how to mount it properly and apparently for an AMD AM4 socket I need 4 small plastic clips and I only have 3 and I'm definitely not comfortable using only 3.

I'm not really wanting to have to send the whole thing back I was wondering if there is any way I can get just the clips?

I have had a little look but can't seem to find any. Does anyone know where I can get some?

Heh.  The famous hyper212 clips. First of all you need four.  3 won’t work. and the only place to get them at least when I broke one was the manufacturer.  Theyre also easy to break.  They look like clips and do what clips do but they don’t behave like clips.  They’re too brittle.  They must be screwed and unscrewed.  They also weren’t particularly cheap.  This is such an old and obnoxious problem that if 3d printers were out when I was using one regularly I would have learned the modeling software to design some clips just to put on thingaverse.  Even if I couldn’t justify a printer just as a ma upraised middle finger.  I don’t know why they needed to be so brittle.  Apparently there are versions out with metal ones that don’t have that problem.  They cost more though.  This means though there’s a decent chance someone already has done a model so if you know someone with a 3d printer you may be able to download something.  You can also forego them entirely and use zip ties instead. It doesn’t work as well and it’s ugly. I wound up trying rubber bands and zip ties, I even tried 3m tack, uttering some foul language, and finally buying a set of clips. It was long ago though.  Someone may have done something clever in the interim.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
