Stupid Question regarding Sata cables for own sanity

No difference, because while sata is fast, for 98% of the time, the cable run is short so less likely to have signal integrity issue

Just buy the one that doesn't looks like it's come from garbage bin...

This is just a sanity check, but there's no real difference between sata cables as long as their not cheap knock offs right? And now that I think about it, since this is my very first time needing to buy one or even looking at them. What's the average price for a set of Sata 6GB cables? Seeing prices range from $1.50 Cad a cable up to $6-$7. I'm more worried about avoiding shitty cables rather than avoiding needlessly expensive ones. And while it would suck, I wouldn't be bothered to spend $10 on a single cable.

PS: outside of 1.5GB/s vs 3GB/s vs 6GB/s of course

Rule of thumb: except in edge cases or parallel ports, if it carries digital signal, the quality of the cable doesnt matter.
