Network adapter

Currently have a flakey USB/BT dongle. I have an Intel 3165NGW from my previous laptop that worked great and would love to reuse. Also have the wires for it as well.

Would something like this make any sense:

ASROCK B450 Pro4, has a secondary m.2 slot. No onboard WiFi so it is currently wired up messily for Ethernet. If possible, for the sake of a cleaner outside/rear would this be an option?

If the motherboard doesn't have a specific M.2 wifi slot, then you'll need to buy a PCIe x1 to M.2 wifi riser/adapter card. A lot of the cards you can find will have antennas built in, so it should just be a matter of dropping the 3165 into the card (and plugging the antennas) and then dropping the card into an x1 slot (and connecting the USB if you need Bluetooth).

so using that adapter card on the secondary m.2 slot wont work?

The one from your first post? No, it's a mPCIe adapter.

would there be a way to convert that card to work in that slot? (without spending more than like $25. at that point I would probably just not do it at stay wired)
