low fps help

hi! i dont know too much about fps problems which is why i decided to ask for help

 

my fps is WAY too low in valorant for my specs (at least i think) it used to be stable at 240 and never went below 230. recently my pc has been struggling struggling to even reach/stay stable 200fps and i havent changed anything.

 

my specs:

 

rtx 2080

i9 9900k

32gb ram

Asus PRIME Z390-P

 

let me know if you need any more information on my pc specs or settings

 

ive reached out to riot and did everything they asked like change valorant to high priority, change my pc power plan to high performance etc... but this still doesnt make a difference.

also changing my valorant settings from high to low doesnt make any difference. even restarted my pc multiple times to see if the settings needed a restart but still no difference

is this some upperclass joke i'm to poor for to understand?

200fps is more than enough in my opinion. Maybe something else is running in the background like windows update or another program.

no i dont mean to brag its just i used to be able to reach 240fps with no problems and now i cant anymore without having changed anything

 

my monitor is 240hz too. i know 200 is more than enough but my pc isnt performing like it used to
