I was playing a game when the alphabet characon the keyboard stopped functioning. The other keys like the ESC worked fine.

I moved the USB to a different port. Same.

I moved it again to the original USB port where it was connected. Then it started to work fine.

Then while I was Web browsing and launched the Windows Calculator; the keyboard stopped functioning again. I used the 10-key, and it was not functional. I checked the numlock, it was set for the 10-key to be usable. I switched to thenWeb browser and tried to type using the alphabet characters keys, not functional.

I restarted computer. Then it started to be functional again.

But there seemed to be a lag in input. Then, started be responsive again.

Is it Windows driver issue? Thanks.

Less that and more like a dying keyboard. Whats your keyboard and did you move it around the desk a lot?

Dell business multimedia keyboard (KB522).

Almost always, it stays on my desk. The only times I move the keyboard is when cleaning my desk. And that was on rare occasions.
